Day Four

& More Shopping

Who doesn’t love to shop? Today we went to Akihabara, which is another shopping district of Tokyo. It is known as Tokyo’s Electric town. We took the train (Yamanote Line Loop) to Tokyo station and from there it was just a five minute walk.

Did you know, Akihabara means a field of Autumn Leaves in Japanese!

Akihabara is one of the major shopping areas in Tokyo for items such as electronics, computers and anime items. We were able to find new and used goods while we were shopping around, you just have to bargain to get the best price. We were really impressed that there were people that spoke English it made our lives a lot easier. There are many duty free shops here and our favorite duty free shop was called Akky.

So while we were here we purchased so many different little souvenirs from Sake (to take home to the family) to little electronics that we could fit in our bags.
